Life and it’s curveballs.

New mantra?

New mantra?

So what have I been up to lately? Well…many things and much planning! Life is busy, busy, busy these days. I flew to Australia in early-mid March to meet my then (yes- you read that right) boyfriend and spend about 9-10 days traveling along the coast. Well, things don’t always work out as planned- and that’s a good lesson to learn. Although, being a romantic hopeful like I am, it’s a tough lesson and kinda makes one a bit cynical and confused about things, but I do think that everything happens for a reason. At least I have my travels to look forward to and since I am leaving my job, my apartment, and my city and moving to a yet-to-be-determined place, I have a lot of things to do to keep me busy.

So I ended up just hanging out in Brisbane and the Gold Coast for my second trip to Australia, and it wasn’t too bad- a little boring and I couldn’t find too much to do in Gold Coast other than eat, drink, beach and party. I got ample beach time in, that’s for sure! I came back home nice and crispy with a jealousy-enducing tan! Which is now gone. Bloody long winter. Perhaps I will review Gold Coast and even do some research on other things to do there that I didn’t get to do.

So another thing this little life curveball has done is make me doubt my original intentions of moving to Australia. Damn my womanly indecisive mind. So much for thinking I had everything figured out. Life. Sigh. 🙂

Since I am a nurse (hooray for a profession I can literally do anywhere), I could be a travel nurse in the US. I have “decided” (in quotations because I am liable to change my mind in a weeks time) to try that when I return home from my European summer extravaganza. I have contacted a couple agencies that specialize in travel nursing, and have looked into going to California. It’s similar to Australia’s beachy coast and vibe, without the intense hassle of moving overseas. But also without the sexy accents. It’s a tough call.

Stay tuned for further happenings and abrupt changes in plans…such an exciting life I lead! I have just about 6 weeks left before Eurotrip begins!
